Social Studies 1



In the first semester, students will learn about the ways in which people contribute to their communities and work together to the benefit of all. This course explores the concepts of good citizenship, neighborhoods, and economics. We will also study maps, photos, biographies, illustrations, poetry, and music to help explain the concept of communities and extend the concept of community to the larger world. In the second semester, students continue to learn about the ways in which people contribute to their communities and work together to the benefit of all. This course explores the concepts of good citizenship, neighborhoods, and economics.
