EL Integrated Lang Arts I

Students will read a different literature story each week. As students study each literature book, other subject areas are integrated so that students can make connections through their studies. Students enjoy many hands-on projects to support what they have learned. The focus of this course is to increase vocabulary, practice making predictions, encourage questions, study poetry, handwriting skills, phonics, practicing list-making skills, as well as learn many different literary devices to support each student's understanding of reading and writing.
