Astronomy Projects MS

Through a multidisciplinary approach, students will explore realms beyond the earth. This hands-on class includes investigation of the Earth's motions and how they affect the appearance of the day and night sky; the major planets, their moons, and other bodies of the solar system. Overview of the major Universe and deep-sky objects and events: including sun, stars, constellations, nebulae, galaxies, comets, and telescopes. History of flight, rocketry and space exploration. Classroom lecture, activities and projects will reinforce topics.
